A job fair at New Haven City Hall for jobs at the new Amazon fulfillment center has been pushed back a month.
It will take place Aug. 30. It had originally been scheduled for July 30.
Amazon is opening the fulfillment center in North Haven; it expects to hire 1,800 people there.
Workforce Alliance is partnering with Amazon to run the job fair.

“Due to the overwhelming response, walk-ins will be limited and applications can only be completed while the North Haven job is live on the Amazon website,” organizers stated. “Those who are not able to complete an application will be assisted to create an Amazon job profile and sign up to be notified by Amazon when positions open again. Walk-ins should arrive by 2:30 p.m.”
