A 10-year-old girl was home in a Cedar Hill apartment when three men forced a 38-year-old man inside. The three men covered their faces with sweatshirt hoods. They pistol-whipped the victim. Turn over the the money, they demanded. Hand over the weed.
So reported police spokesman Officer David Hartman.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
“The victim said he handed the crooks $15 worth of marijuana. A struggle ensued after the victim picked up a baseball bat to defend himself. That’s when the victim took a beating. He was pistol-whipped on the back of his head and started bleeding. He was relieved of his cell phone by the perps who turned and ran,” Hartman reported in a press release.
Cops “know the apartment well,” and the victim has a drug sale charge pending against him, according to Hartman. Neighbors told cops they’re moving because of all the suspected drug traffic at the apartment.
The victim offered police no description of the attackers beyond their “likely” races.
