Police are investigating a collision that occurred late Tuesday afternoon on Fowler Street and left a boy critically injured.
The collision took place around 5:03 p.m. in front of the Woodbridge Crossing condominiums on Fowler between Amity Road and Frederick Street.
Officers arrived to find a “juvenile male cyclist who was unresponsive,” police spokeswoman Sgt. Shayna Kendall wrote in a release.
The driver of the car that apparently struck the cyclist “remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation,” Kendall reported.
The boy is 10 years old, according to police. He is in the hospital in critical condition.
