A Wednesday search and seizure led to two arrests and 42 packets of crack cocaine recovered.
The raid happened at 5 p.m. when the Tactical Narcotics Unit executed a search and seizure warrant at a second-floor apartment at 26 May St. in Cedar Hill, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery.
Police arrested a 21-year-old outside the apartment. He had 18 packets of crack on him, Avery said. Inside, police found 24 more packets, some ecstasy pills, and $273 cash, and arrested a 19-year-old woman who lives there, Avery said.
Both people face drug charges. The lead investigator on the case was Hamden’s Officer Joseph Liguori, who is assigned to the New Haven TNU task force, Avery said.
In other police news according to Avery:
A 12-year-old was struck by a group of five males who stole his red Huffy mountain bike in front of 69 Liberty St. in the Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
