Two teenagers are recovering from gunshot wounds incurred in two separate shootings an hour apart this weekend, police said.
One man was hit in leg, the other in the hand, police said.
Here’s what happened, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery:
A 12:45 a.m. on Sunday an 18-year-old was on Davenport Avenue near Orchard Street in the Hill when someone approached him from behind and shot him in the left hand.
An hour later, at 1:41 a.m., a 19-year-old had just left the Center Street Lounge downtown and was walking towards Orange Street when he he noticed “a disturbance” near Center and Church Streets. He saw people running, heard a gunshot, and realized he’d been hit in the leg.
Both injuries were non-life-threatening.

“Tito” Pleads Guilty
The Connecticut U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Monday that Jermaine Diggs, known as “Tito” and “Main,” pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The 30-year-old lived on Bassett Street.
According to court documents and statements, Diggs sold Remington .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol to someone working with cops on April 14. The deal went down near Winchester Avenue and Division Street. Diggs also admitted that he and Brian “Malik” Redd sold another gun to an undercover agent.
Diggs, a convicted felon, faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. He’s been in jail since June 9.
