Christine Scheller heard a bang outside her Edgewood Avenue window around 9:30 Friday morning.
“I hope,” she thought as she rushed to look, “it’s not my car.”
It was. Along with three other cars.
A driver had lost control of a red Mazda right past the intersection of Orchard and plowed into a parked car. Which struck Scheller’s parked Acura. Which then struck the parked car in front of it.
What a mess. Firefighters and an ambulance crew arrived on the scene along with cops. The 246 bus was diverted onto Orchard along with other traffic. The driver and passenger of the Mazda were taken by ambulance to the hospital; police at scene said it appeared they would be OK.
“Thank goodness,” Christine’s husband, Brad Scheller (they’re pictured providing information to Officer Jeffrey Suchy), “we have insurance.”
