The Graduate Club set the stage for the First Annual Convention and Visitors Bureau Awards Presentations Thursday.
Steve Paganelli, executive director of the Greater New Haven Convention and Visitors Bureau, has come “home” from the Fairfield County CVB with great elan. On Thursday night, he orchestrated the First Annual GNHCVB Awards, focusing on the the broad expanse of resources and attractions that are the tools of his trade. There was broad representation from the cultural, commercial and government sectors.
Bobbi Griffith from the Arts Council, Kyle Ballou and Vin Petrini from Yale New Haven Hospital, Claire and Frank Criscuolo of Claire’s Cornucopia and Basta (she is also president of the Connecticut Restaurant Association), Tony Rescigno, Bob Santy of the Regional Growth Partnership, Jennifer Aniskovich, executive director of the Connecticut Commission of Culture and Tourism, and Lindy Lee Gold of the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development were among the celebrants.
The 2006 award winners were: CT Lodging Association — Advocate of the Year; Market New Haven — Excellence in Marketing and Promotion; Shoreline Arts Trail — Excellence in Partnership; Durham Fair — Volunteers of the Year.
