(Opinion) — Despite what Yale students and other protesters insisted at City Hall, our mayor is not the same as our new president. Not even close.
But claiming that he is — as the protesters did — doesn’t just devalue the concerns people have about the incoming presidential administration.
It also sets back our efforts in New Haven to tackle complex, life-or-death issues here at home. Including homelessness and affordable housing, the subject of the protest at City Hall.
