As fireworks petered out for Independence Day celebrations Monday night, firefighters rushed to the scene of a fire in a two-car garage on Whalley Avenue.
Firefighters headed over to 640 Whalley Ave. around 9:48 p.m. Monday night to put out a fire in a two-car garage at a multi-family home. The fire is thought to have started on an exterior fence and spread to the detached two-car garage, according to Assistant Chief of Operations Matt Marcarelli.
The damage was limited to just the fence and garage. No one was injured.
