Both lawyers limit their practices to divorce mediation; all of the honorees take the best interest of minor children to heart. Their holistic approach to family law is reflective of each of their incredible lists of academic and interests and achievements. It is unusual to find ancillary degrees in urban studies (Friedman), organic chemistry (Wasserman,) in addition to lengthy lists of community and professional awards for their skills in dispute and conflict resolution.
The Graduate Club was packed with family, friends and colleagues as diverse as the honorees. Martha Murray, Esq., president of the board of directors of CMI, was proud to introduce Hon. Lynda Munro (for Bobbi Friedman), Hon. Edward Dolan (for George Manning) and James Greenfield, Esq. (for Elga Wasserman) served as the presenters. Charlie Pillsbury, executive director of CMI, served as the master of ceremonies. Bev Hodgson, Esq., is the perennial chairman of the very successful event.
Spotted among the crowd were Steve Wizner, Esq. (Jerome Frank Legal Services at the Yale Law School) with his wife Rachel, an academician, Betty Levy, Esq. and husband, Dr. Arthur Levy, Dr. Stan Friedman, Rabbi Herb and Elin Brockman, Martha Weisbart. CMI board members Susan Landon and Lindy Lee Gold, attorneys Jean Welty, Ed Walsh, Jack Colleran, Beth Gilson, David Schaefer joined with major sponsors from Garcia and Milas, Koskoff, Koskoff and Bieder, and Tyler, Cooper and Alcorn.
This group has no shortage of words and lots of heart. They turned out to support their colleagues and the work of Community Mediation and, of course, All For The Greater Good!
