TO HEAR AND ACT ON THE FOLLOWING:

LM-2021 – 0121 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMITPROPOSAL TO AND ACCEPT ANY AWARD FROM THE KENDALL FOUNDATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000 OVERPERIOD OF TWO YEARS, FOR THE FOOD SYSTEM POLICY DIVISION TO IDENTIFY, RESEARCH, AND DEVELOPSERIES OF PLANS AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL CREATE AN ENABLING ENVIRONMENT FOR FOOD ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND VALUES-BASED INSTITUTIONAL FOOD PROCUREMENT AND IN WHICH ALL RESIDENTS WILL EQUITABLY BENEFIT FROM THE POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SOCIOECONOMIC OUTCOMES OFJUST AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEM.

LM-2021 – 0122 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $75,000 OVER THREE YEARS, FOR THE FOOD SYSTEM POLICY DIVISION TO PARTNER WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO DEVELOPSERIES OF PLANS AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL CREATE AN ENABLING ENVIRONMENT FOR URBAN AGRICULTURE, SPECIFICALLY FOR SPECIALTY CROP PRODUCTION AND MARKET OPPORTUNITIES IN NEW HAVEN, SO THAT ALL RESIDENTS WILL EQUITABLY BENEFIT FROM THE POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SOCIOECONOMIC OUTCOMES OF URBAN AGRICULTURE.
