City police seized four pounds of marijuana, $11,000 in cash, and 1,000 bags of heroin in various drug and gun busts in the Hill.
New Haven Police Department Sgt. Chris Cameron informed the Hill South Community Management Team of the recent law enforcement activity in the neighborhood in an email sent to the team’s email listserv on Sunday morning.
“Just to fill you in,” he wrote, “our intelligence unit and narcotics unit executed several drug related search warrants in the Hill North and Hill South over the weekend.”
At 88 Daggett St., he wrote, police “seized was a small amount of narcotics and a Firearm.”
At the Kimberly Smoke Shop in Kimberly Square, he wrote, police seized four pounds of marijuana and $11,000 in cash. “Profits from the drug sales.”
And at 10 West St., police seized over 1,000 bags of heroin. “This was an outstanding job by Detective Crespo of our Intelligence Unit,” Cameron wrote. “This will have a direct impact on the street level heroin sales in our neighborhood.
“All names will be withheld due to an ongoing investigation.”
