Hamden police are seeking the public’s help in finding a driver who crashed into a woman, then fled the scene.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Arch and Bowen Streets Wednesday at around 5:45 p.m.
A driver struck a 64-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing Bowen, according to a release from Hamden police spokesperson Sean J. Dolan. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of “serious injuries.”
The driver fled the scene in a “newer model, dark colored sedan” that probably has front-end damage and perhaps a broken windshield, Dolan reported. He asked anyone who witnessed the accident or has video footage to contact Officer Robert O’Neil at 203 – 230-4000.
