At the Morris Cove sea wall on a hot day, Marty Looney obtained a new understanding about an old adage.
Democrat Looney, majority leader of the state Senate, met his Republican counterpart, Sen. Len Fasano, there to take the ALS “ice bucket” challenge.
Looney dressed in work attire (from the ankle up). Fasano wore a T‑shirt and shorts.
After the “refreshing” dunk, Looney drew a conclusion about their profession.
“In the past when people said politicians are all wet, I usually disagreed,” he said. “Today, probably not so much.”
