Rebecca Turcio of Cedar Hill sent in the following account and these photos about a neighborhood hunt Saturday for a lost boy.
Saturday morning at around 9:00 a 4 year old boy was missing in Cedar Hill.
Cops mobilized on the corner of State and Rock. The neighborhood block watch got on
the phones and utilized the phone tree and had people on every street looking for
the boy. One bike cop was on the trails of East Rock.
When people were not finding the boy for one and a half hours, they started to go into the woods of Snake Rock and Indian Head.
The only description given was of an African-American boy, age 4, with only blue boxer shorts on, going by the name of Ky.
At around 11:00 the word was out, and the boy was just found.
The boy’s grandmother had seen the boy outside on his own. She took him inside to teach the mother a lesson, not realizing a massive manhunt was happening in the area.
One community member had reported to neighbors that they had found the boy
wandering the night before at 9:30 in the same blue boxers, when the mother came up
the street to find him.
