A 42-year-old New Havener named Jazy White lost his life in a three-car collision on deadly Ella T. Grasso Boulevard.
The “T‑bone style” crash, which involved three “older-styled, gray-colored Honda Accords,” occurred at the intersection of Boulevard and Washington Avenue Wednesday at 7:34 p.m., according to police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell.
The crash sent five people, including White, who was one of the drivers involved, to the hospital, Dell wrote in a release issued Thursday. “One other individual sustained serious albeit non-life-threatening injuries, and all vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the crash. The NHPD’s Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203 – 946-6304 or anonymously at 866 – 888-TIPS (8477).”
Fast-moving Grasso Boulevard has been the site of repeated crashes and years worth of efforts to calm the flow of traffic.
