Man Shot On West Park Avenue

A 47-year-old man was shot and injured on West Park Avenue near Edgewood Park Tuesday morning.

New Haven Police Department Sgt. Shayna Kendall said in a Tuesday afternoon press release that the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and was subsequently transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment.

His injuries, she wrote, were determined to be non-life threatening and the victim has been stabilized.”

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 at 7:30 AM, officers respond to the report of a person shot in the area of West Park Avenue between Eldert Street and Whalley Avenue.

Police identified a 47 year old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for his injuries. The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening and the victim has been stabilized.

A crime scene was located and Investigative Services Division and the Bureau of Identification responded to process the scene.
