New Haven does officially have a mayoral race this year — and you can watch it live on television.
At least for an hour.
The three candidates for mayor — incumbent Democrat Toni Harp and independents Ron Smith (a former city clerk) and Sundiata Keitezulu (who ran two years ago) — are scheduled to face off in the studios of CTV Monday night beginning at 7 p.m. The public can watch it live on Comcast Channel 96. (CTV plans to rebroadcast the debate before the Nov. 3 election; we’ll let you know those times when they become available.) The New Haven Independent, La Voz Hispana, and WNHH radio are sponsoring the debate, which will feature questions from a panel of reporters from those news outlets as well as the New Haven Register and the Inner City News.
