A New Haven patrol officer has been arrested on charges related to domestic violence and computer crime.
The police department announced that news in a release issued Tuesday.
The officer turned herself in on Tuesday for arrest on two separate but “related” warrants, according to the release: one for second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief related to family violence; the other for two counts of third-degree computer crimes.
The officer, who has been on the force since 2014, has been placed on administrative leave while both the criminal investgiation and a “parallel” Internal Affairs investgation continue into the matter.
The warrants in both cases have been sealed, and no other information is publicly available.
