A 38-year-old New Havener named Gracielly Urbaez died following a one-car crash on the Q Bridge Friday evening.
State police sent out an email press release about the fatal highway crash Saturday morning.
A state police accident information summary written by Troop G Officer Kyle Capoccitti said that, at around 6:52 p.m. Friday, state police received several reports of a one-car crash on I‑95 North near Exit 50 on the Q Bridge.
Troopers found that a vehicle had struck a concrete barrier along the right shoulder of the highway “before traveling across all lanes of travel and striking the concrete center median barrier and coming to a final resting position.”
Responding troopers found the driver and sole occupant of the car, Urbaez, had suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
