(Updated) Police arrested a 42-year-old Edgewood School teacher Monday after an “altercation” with a student in a classroom.
The student suffered “minor injuries” and was “released to a parent,” according to a release from police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway.
Police charged the teacher with risk of injury to a minor, second-degree reckless endangerment, and third-degree assault. The teacher was released on a $15,000 bond.
Schools spokesperson Justin Harmon said the staff member was put on leave during the police investigation.
No other details about the incident were provided.
