A student at Metropolitan Business Academy high school was tracked down by the U.S. Secret Service for an interview after allegedly posting an online threat against the president.
That’s according to a message sent by Superintendent Madeline Negrón to the city’s Board of Education.
“Student at MBA made online threat to the President, threat was picked up by the Secret Service. Secret Service is interviewing student, parent notified,” reads a text from Negrón to the board.
School Spokesperson Justin Harmon confirmed that such an interview took place. He declined to comment further or share details about when that interview occurred or what triggered the exchange, stating that “issues relating to student discipline are private.”
