The Rev. Allie Perry submitted these photos of the latest monthly commemoration of Iraqi War dead, at New Haven’s memorial by the junction of Broadway, Elm and Park. It took place Monday night.
Perry reports: “Dana Hurst from the Church of the Ascension placed the December stone on the Cairn. The numbers for December as you can read are: U.S. military 23; Iraqi civilians 462. Father Tom O’Rourke, Pastor of Church of the Ascension and members of his congregation led the prayers and readings for the event.”
