As cops probe the year’s 15th homicide, they’re looking for a gray SUV with New York plates, seen leaving the scene.
The murder came Tuesday night on the Boulevard, according to Assistant Chief John Velleca. Here’s what he said happened:
The calls came in around 8 p.m.: shots fired and a shooting victim found at the corner of Boulevard and Kimberly Avenue. Police arrived to find a 29-year-old man dead inside a green Honda Accord. He had been shot four times in the back and side while in the car.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, Velleca said. Police believe the killing is drug-related. Police are looking for a gray SUV that left the scene of the killing, heading south on the Boulevard.
The victim, Robert Lee McArthur, lived on South Genesee Street in West Hills.
