Two new Covid-19 cases were reported within the New Haven Public Schools system, one at East Rock Community Magnet School and one at Dr. Reginald Mayo Early Learning Center.
At East Rock, the New Haven Health Department has learned that the staff member who tested positive was exposed to the virus outside of school.
In the Dr. Mayo Center case, three others in the school will self-quarantine.
Isolated Covid-19 cases have been popping up within the New Haven schools community. Nearly all students are still learning remotely until Nov. 9. Some teachers have been teaching from their classrooms and some other custodians, food workers and administrators have gone into school buildings as well.
