If you’ve been arrested during the Covid-19 pandemic, and you need a lawyer for your first court appearance, show up at the Elm Street courthouse on Sept. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public defender’s office is holding a “public application event” at that time and location “designed to allow people who have been arrested during the pandemic but have not had their first court appearance apply for counsel.”
The office, part of the Connecticut Division of Public Defender Services, offers free attorneys for indigent clients faces criminal charges.
