Wooster Square aldermanic candidate Andy Ross handed out pie and cider, made some new friends, and announced a new endorsement.
All that happened a week ago, when Ross (pictured) held a pie social in Wooster Square.
Ross is running for alderman in Wooster Sqaure’s Ward 8. He faces Democrat Aaron Greenberg in a Nov. 5 primary. Incumbent Alderman Michael Smart is running for city clerk and not seeking reelection.
Ross handed out 90 slices of pie and a total of three gallons of cider at the Oct. 12 event. A group of 10 nuns were among those who showed up.
2011 mayoral candidate Jeffrey Kerekes was on hand as the event’s photographer. Kerekes, who lives in the ward, also endorsed Ross for alderman.
“I’m genuinely hard pressed to think of anyone who has put in the time, energy and effort Andy Ross has into making our community a better place to live consistently over many years and that is why I’m proud to endorse him as my pick for our next alderman,” Kerekes said.
