Jeffrey Kerekes sent in these photos showing the impact of Superstorm Sandy on some souls who couldn’t contact the Emergency Operations Center for assistance — the souls buried in Fair Haven.
“Cemeteries, with their old trees also suffered the blow of Hurricane Sandy. While “They Rest From Their Labors” at Union Cemetery off Grand Avenue in Fair Haven, someone else will need to labor to restore this beautiful cemetery,” wrote Kerekes (who with Chris Randall publishes the photo site I Love New Haven).
