Two men got in a fight on a Congress Avenue sidewalk around midnight. It ended when one man stabbed the other and fled on foot.
So reported police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff.
Duff said police got the call at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and arrived to find the stabbed man on the sidewalk outside a Yale medical building at Cedar Street. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Thursday Capt. Duff reported that the victim’s name was Secundino Ramirez. He was 29 years old and most recently lived in West Haven.
