Dozens of community groups are raising money during that time during the Community for Greater New Haven’s annual Great Give” competition. We’ve invited them to appear on the radiothon to make a pitch for you to give them money. But first they’ve been asked to sing (a song) or recite (a poem) for their supper.

We’re also asking you to help keep this radio station on the air. WNHH is a not-for-profit grassroots New Haven community radio station. The New Haven Independent and La Voz Hispana launched the station last August. We’re broadcasting original live local programs diving into our communal and poltical and cultural life each day, over the air and on the internet at the New Haven Independent’s website. Please consider making a donation to us now. Here’s the link to make a donation.

Atticus Cafe/Chabaso Bakery is the grand sponsor for this radiothon.

Lauren Mednick of Elm City Internationals joined her father, attorney and songwriter Steven Mednick, for a rendition of The Gospel Truth.”
