Man Shot In Leg

Just before 2 a.m. Friday, a 37-year-old man stepped out of his car on Lawrence Street in East Rock and was shot in the leg, police said.

He told cops a man shot him at 41 Lawrence St., then fled on foot toward Nash, said police spokesman Officer Joe Avery. Witnesses told cops three shots were fired and the shooter may have fled in a black Honda Civic. The wound was not life-threatening.

in other police news, gunshots were fired at 10:53 p.m. Thursday at 327 W. Division St. Avery said a man told cops that someone in a black mask fired at him while he was sitting on his porch, then fled toward Dixwell Avenue. Police found four 9mm shell casings at the scene.
