Healey (pictured at the top of the story) joined host Tom Ficklin on “The Tom Ficklin Show.” They discussed their work at the New Haven-based New Alliance Foundation, which serves an area of 44 towns up to Hartford and East Willamantic. In the second half of the show, New Haven Reads Executive Director Kirsten Levinsohn, whose organization is a grantee of the foundation, called in to talk about the “blessing” that the foundation has been for it.
