Vivienne Brown, 104

Vivienne West Brown, 104, of New Haven, CT peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, March 17, 2012, at the Anne Grimes Health Care Center.

Mrs. Brown was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 20, 1907; daughter of George Chauncy and Mary Frances West. She attended James Hillhouse High School. Some of her work experience included, laboratory technician in the Dr. Paul Boisvert lab at Yale New Haven Hospital. She retired, then came out of retirement and worked in New Haven Senior Programs. For her 104th birthday, she received letters of congratulations from the Obama Family, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Mayor John DeStefano and St. Luke’s Women’s Club. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Barbara Birt, eight grandchildren, Raymond, Rocky, Aaron, Starr, Kim, David, Lance, Barbara and her cherished great niece, Michelle Williams along with many great and great-great grandchildren; great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond St. Jacques and her husband, Kermit Brown. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her celebration of life service, March 22, 2012 at 11 AM at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 111 Whalley Avenue; New Haven, CT.
