Griffon Construction LLC will be releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for licensed and insured Demolition/Abatement Subcontractors to provide a bid for the property located at 10 Liberty Street, New Haven, CT 06519. Griffon Construction is seeking proposals for a lump sum bid covering Site Setup, Abatement, Utility Disconnects, and Demolition of four (4) existing structures and parking areas.
You may obtain a set of bid documents by emailing 10libertybid@griffonllc.com by Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM, indicating your interest in bidding. After five (5) business days from the date of public notification, no additional prospective bidders will be accepted. Once all interested bidders have been identified, Griffon Construction will send a link to the bid package electronically.
The project is sales tax-exempt for labor but not for project materials, and the wage rate for the project is the New Haven Living Wage Rate. The selected Subcontractor and their Sub-subcontractors must comply with Griffon Construction’s bidding and insurance requirements, as well as The City of New Haven’s EEOC workforce requirements. Additionally, the City of New Haven Chapter 12 ¼ of the New Haven Code of Ordinances (MWBE subcontracting) applies. Minority and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to apply.
A mandatory meeting with all bidders will be held on-site at 10 Liberty Street, New Haven, on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM. All bids are due by Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM. All bid questions (RFI’s) should be submitted in writing to Griffon Construction via email at 10libertybid@griffonllc.com by Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM, with responses issued by Friday, April 11, 2025.
