Kori Ava McLellan was born on April 5, 2021 and was called home to be with the Father on September 6, 2021.
Kori was such a sweet and beautiful baby and she was known for her fashionable bows and outfits on her NNICU floor. Kori also loved music and she enjoyed being sung to by her sisters Ky’mani and Kai’lyn and by the music therapist.
Kori was such a fighter. Despite Kori’s life threatening complications, she defied the odds and she fought for five long months.
Although Kori was only with us for a short period, she had an impact on so many lives in and outside of the hospital. She had such a tenacious spirit that everyone loved and admired about her. God saw fit to call you home early Kori bear but we will forever be grateful for the time that we had with you. Forever #KoriStrong.
Kori leaves behind to cherish her memories: parents, Marcia and Dishon McLellan; sisters Ky’mani and Kai’lyn McLellan; brother, Mason Reed; grandparents, Michael and Elaine Smart, Sharon McLellan; aunts, Mariah Watson (Jordan), Aliah Smart, and Shariah Pritchett; uncles, Tirice Hines and Demetrius Allen, and a host of family and friends.
