Mildred Pauline Suggs Barnes, 91, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 8, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Pinkney Suggs and Mabel Ennis Suggs and was born in Snow Hill, NC on June 13, 1928.
Mildred worked at St. Raphael’s Hospital for many years. She is survived by her sister, Mabel Louise Carmon of Virginia and her children, Melvin (the late Judy) Suggs of Maryland, Joe Suggs (Bobbie) of NC, Burnis Barnes, James Barnes, Linwood (Sheryl) Barnes, Clinton (Sarah) Barnes of NC, and Peggie Barnes.
She was predeceased by brothers, Willie James, Pinkney, Burnis, David and sisters, Helen, Ethel and Edie. She leaves a host of family and friends to cherish shared memories.
